Sugar Sweet Bakery occupies a narrow retail space within the Broadway Village shopping center in midtown Tucson. A simple wooden 'box' inserted in the center of the bakery separates the kitchen and retail functions. The 'box' conceals the office, bathroom & storage area allowing mechanical ducts to float overhead. A butcher block countertop displays delectable baked goods, while a floor to ceiling chalk board runs from front to back of house to unite the space.
