sidecar bar

general contractor: repp + mclain design & construction

materials: steel butcher block, leather, stained and exposed concrete

Located within the Broadway Village shopping center, Sidecar unites two previously separate spaces to create a craft cocktail bar with an open floor plan. Resin finished tube steel wraps the bar top in an homage to butcher block craftsmanship, while sandblasted wooden joists reveal the original structure of the space. Recessed panels cast into the concrete bar front recall traditional wooden paneling in early 20th century bars.
