the chicago store façade renovation

tucson, arizona

architect: eglin + bresler architects

general contractor: repp + mclain design & construction

materials: leaded spiral glass, smooth stucco

The renovation of this Downtown Tucson landmark returns the façade of the The Chicago Store back to its1927 luster. The leaded spiral glass, cornice & capitals were all painstakingly restored back to their original condition. Windows that had been covered in plywood for years were removed, refinished and put back in place.
